Overview

Mikayla Formoza concentrates her practice on commercial lending, commercial real estate development and financing, affordable housing development, and general corporate matters.

Her practice includes representing banks and other financial institutions, developers, nonprofit organizations, and governmental and quasi-governmental agencies in commercial and real estate finance transactions. She works with clients on all aspects of transactions, including structuring, negotiation, entity formation, and diligence review.

Prior to joining Hackett Feinberg, Mikayla represented private fund sponsors across a variety of matters including fund formation, compliance, and operational matters at an international law firm, which informs her current practice involving complex transactions and comprehensive due diligence.

While in law school, Mikayla served as Managing Editor of the Suffolk University Law Review, Vice President of the Business Law Association, and worked as a teaching assistant for a property law course.
