Thomas Looney is a Partner at Hackett Feinberg and was Co-Managing Partner for several years.
Tom’s practice includes real estate and title litigation, real estate transactions, and lender representation. He has extensive trial and appellate experience in the state and federal courts in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Tom has handled a wide variety of cases, including complex real estate litigation, title insurance coverage, creditors’ rights and workouts, and business torts including shareholder disputes. In his real estate litigation practice, Tom has represented numerous property owners and lenders in title-related litigation in the Massachusetts Land Court, various Superior Courts, the Appeals Court, and the Supreme Judicial Court.
Tom lives with his wife, Nancy, in Westwood, Massachusetts, where they are both involved in many community activities. Tom has served as the Chairman of the Board of Water Commissioners of the Dedham-Westwood Water District and as a member of the Westwood Finance and Warrant Commission. Tom is also active in alumni events at his alma mater, St. Sebastian’s School.
