Renewable Energy

Overview

Hackett Feinberg’s Renewable Energy practice group represents institutional lending clients who provide complex construction and permanent financing for renewable energy project development across the nation.

In a market subject to ever-evolving regulatory change, we have successfully negotiated, documented, and closed hundreds of millions of dollars in financing transactions for the development of a wide variety of renewable energy projects.

Our lawyers offer proven skill in guiding lenders through the varied complexities that constitute the renewable energy project life cycle. We are well versed in all phases of development – from initial site control to construction and development, tax credit investment, power purchase agreements, regulatory compliance, refinancings, acquisitions, and sales.

We advise on renewable energy tax credit transactions, including the structuring of debt and equity transactions, drafting and negotiating of all related and ancillary documents, and performing and reviewing due diligence with a focus on risk versus reward.

We are fluent in renewable energy state and federal regulation, as well as in the permitting, financing, real estate, and environmental law considerations that often permeate these transactions.

Our distinct combination of extensive transaction structuring and project financing experience supports us in providing truly strategic advice to our clients involved in all stages of monetizing renewable energy.
